The Murray sales will be EVERY YEAR the weekend BETWEEN Mother's Day and Memorial Day. This year it's on Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17.
The cost will again be $12 to have your sale put on the map, newspaper advertising, paper and ink for posted fliers. Please have your money turned in to me by Saturday, May 3rd. This deadline helps me determine how many ads AND how many words I can use for those newspaper ads. (The sooner the money is turned in, the more advertising I can do.)
If a youth, church or other NON-PROFIT group wishes to participate with a sale or concession stand, remember there's NO CHARGE to them, but a representative needs to let me know and I'll be glad to put it on the map. The week of May 18, immediately after our sales, volunteers from Hosanna Lutheran will pick up your leftover sale items. You might want to start saving some good sturdy boxes for those items, , because they do stack better than bags and it will help to make the volunteers' job much easier. Please call 402-235-2999 to schedule your pick-up time.
Please feel free to forward this note to your other Murray friends and neighbors and maybe even print the form below and put it on your fridge or bulletin board as a reminder. I'll also be leaving some forms in the post office and at Town Hall, too.
Thanks!
Pat

Greenblatt & Seay's Schoolhouse Performance Series features a concert of Scandinavian music on Sunday, May 11, at 2:30 PM, in the Old Avoca, Nebraska Schoolhouse.
Greenblatt & Seay will be playing a variety of instruments, including fiddle, guitar, hammered dulcimer, recorders, pennywhistles, and the nyckelharpa. The nyckelharpa is the official keyed fiddle of Sweden, and has 16 strings.
Greenblatt & Seay have been playing and singing together since the night they met, decades ago. Their performance on May 11 will include the championship fiddling styles of Deborah Greenblatt, and the fancy whistle-playing of David Seay.
The concert will be downstairs, and followed by light refreshments, and a chance to chat and even jam with the performers. Avoca is in southern Cass County, Nebraska, on the 13 C Spur, one mile south of Highway 34.
Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior citizens, and $1.00 for children. Seating is limited. For more information, write to Greenblatt & Seay, The Old Schoolhouse, P.O. Box 671, Avoca, Nebraska, 68307, or call 402-275-3221, or e-mail them at debby@greenblattandseay.com.
