Pulling Togegther for Union
The NE Dept. of Economic Development's NCIP Leadership Challenge is an opportunity for all Union residents to "pull together" to make a difference in our community. People of all ages and experience are needed to take part in brainstorming, researching, planning and implementing one or two Village improvement projects of their choosing. Youth and people who have not been involved in the past are strongly encouraged to participate. The NEDED will host a kick-off meeting the end of February, and then there will be meetings for the next 6-8 weeks in order to facilitate the improvement projects. This is a short-term commitment with the possibility of increadible results! Do you have ideas and/or the drive to improve the Village of Union? Are you tired of remembering or hearing stories about what Union use to be? Do you support downtown revitalization or bringing more services into town (Meals on Wheels, access to technology, curbside recycling, etc.)? Please contact Mindy Chipman at 402-890-8287 or
