LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!
The weather outside is frightful . . . but the neighborhood kids do not care one bit! With Conestoga and Nebraska City Public Schools being cancelled Tuesday, many children were able to get their first sledding of the year done. Apparently, the weather is not going to lighten up any time soon and school is cancelled for Wednesday too! Have fun, be safe and stay warm! Did You Get Your Newsletter??
The monthly Village of Union Newsletter was distributed last week! Newsletters were mailed to rural Union residents and hand-delivered to residents residing within the Village last Friday. The newsletter cost $180 this month to produce. The newsletter goes out to 358 village and rural residences and businesses. A dedicated Village resident volunteered to hand deliver the newsletter to village residents to save postage, and all rural addressed newsletters were sent out using a discounted mailing provided by Citizen Printing Company in Nebraska City. Two of the Village Board members have donated their monthly trustee dues of $25 per month to go towards expenses of the newsletter. Furthermore, every month the Village receives approximately $50 in donations from private residents. Any donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated to keep the newsletter going. Please send any donations to Village Newsletter, P.O. Box 127, Union, NE 68455.
