PARK COMMITTEE:
The Union Park Committee will be meeting on February 24, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the fire station. Among the many topics to be discussed are the scheduled meetings, bake sales, garage/yard sales, Easter egg hunt, community picnic, and Santa’s visit. Also, 2006 is Union’s 130th year anniversary and we are planning on a big celebration. The park committee will begin to plan the events. If anyone will have the time and interest to help, please contact the park committee chairman or come to the meeting. We need to get more people involved in this committee since for the most part there are only 6 people that do everything. We need some more parents to show an interest in the park events, this is for all the children in the village not just a few.
REMINDERS:
The surveys are still welcome. Over 100 have been sent out and to date only 20 have been turned in. This is a way for you to have a say into what goes on in the village and without your input, we don’t know. The board members cannot read minds and if you choose to not turn in your survey, we shouldn’t hear any complaints.
Dog licenses are due. With all the complaints we have received about them running at large or barking, if dog owners do not get their dogs licensed, they will be fined. Our village ordinance will enforce this action. We get criticized for not controlling the dog situations, so to treat everyone equally, no one will be given special treatment.
If there are announcements that you would like to have printed in the paper, please be sure to get the information to Deb.
