EASTER EGG HUNT:
The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) ladies have done it again! Approximately 30 children ages preschool to second grade arrived at the park on March 26th to take part in the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Forty-nine dozen plastic eggs were scattered in separate areas, depending on age, for all the children to pick up and bring to the tables to exchange for donated gifts from local businesses. Not one child went away empty handed. Many thanks to all the volunteers that assisted Idonna Plybon in making this one of the best Easter egg hunts around.
NEW WATER/SEWER BILLING CARDS:
The first new billing cards came out this month. Please take time to read them carefully as the layout is quite a bit different than the previous ones. For example, on the new format the current reading comes first subtracting the previous reading to show how much water has been used. Due to problems with the conversion from the DOS based to the Windows based program, the billing went out later than usual. Hopefully, all the errors have been corrected but if you have questions, please contact the village clerk.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Volunteers are needed to plant the 3000 + flower bulbs donated by Tony Tellez. If you have some free time, are a scout member or a Nebraska City student that needs to do some community service, please contact a board member or village clerk to volunteer.

Easter egg hunt 2 2005:
As you can see, there were several toddlers, being assisted by their parents, hunting for hidden eggs.
