UPDATE ON WWTF:

Well, the sewer project is almost complete. The only thing left to do is put up the privacy fence around the sewer pump station and the chain link fence around the lagoons. As a reminder to all our residents, if you trespass on the area around the lagoons, you will be prosecuted. There have been problems with several dirt bike, motorcycle, & ATV drivers riding in that area. There will be signs erected as soon as everything else is finished which will eliminate any confusion.

Also, pay attention on what you toss in our sewer lines. Please don’t try to flush diapers, sanitary napkins, paper towels, condoms etc. There have already been problems with blocking up the lines caused by some of these products.

JULY 4TH CELEBRATION:

A lot of people have family get togethers on this holiday & that means fireworks & picnics.  Please consider your neighbors & the pets we all love.  I’ve already received several complaints about fireworks & it’s not even July yet! DOGS ARE AFRAID OF FIREWORKS! Consider before you set them off, the pets in your area. Let your neighbor know if you are planning on setting off fireworks so they can put their pets inside & keep them safe. And if you are a dog owner, pay attention to their reactions to the noise & smell. If they are afraid, put them somewhere that the activity will not scare them & make sure they have a tag on them so if they take off, we can return them to you.  The other issue is minors & firecrackers. You may not be aware that they are setting off firecrackers with no supervision, but, they are & it’s dangerous.  Let’s keep this a safe 4th of July.

VILLAGE BOARD MEETING:

The Village Board meeting is scheduled for July 12th @ 7:00 p.m. @ the fire station. It’s normally the first Tuesday of every month, but, due to the holiday & scheduling conflicts, this month has been changed.

REMINDERS:

If you are still cleaning up tree debris from our recent storms, take it to the area behind the ball field.  As soon as we are finished, the tub grinder will be back to take care of that pile.

Mother Bones Doll Doctor & Ceramics is offering summer ceramics for children ages 4 thru 8 @ 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. & 9 thru teens @ 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursdays July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th. There will be a $5.00 fee & special summer projects & contests.

These are the new lagoons built thru our WWTF project.

This is the new lift station located in the park are @ the end of LaRue St.
