COMMUNITY PICNIC & AUCTION:
Well, we had another successful picnic & auction. We were hoping for a larger crowd since the weather was so beautiful but those that attended had a very good time & walked away with a lot of good stuff from the auction. The children are the ones that benefit & thanks to everyone’s generosity, we collected over $1200.00! This means one of the parks will get a new slide! We also had a raffle & the winners are: Lou Harpole from Ralston won the Thermos Fire & Ice grille; Verl Ackley from Union won the family dome tent; & Steve McWha from Union won the canvas camping chairs. The winners of the children’s prizes are brother & sister, Bradley won the remote control truck & Amanda Ziegelbein won the Barbie. There was also a horseshoe tournament in which the winners were Jack Still & Mark Tilton. Once again, thanks to all that attended & the businesses from Plattsmouth, Nebraska City & Union that donated & support what the park committee members are trying to do.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST:
Don’t forget the pancake breakfast Labor Day weekend at Lake Waconda. This is a fundraiser for the Fire & Rescue department.

Bradley Ziegelbein stands proudly with his new remote control truck he won in the children’s raffle.

The winner of the girl’s raffle prize is Amanda Ziegelbein.

Proud winners of the horseshoe tournament are Jack Still & Mark Tilton.

Check out the crowd just waiting to dunk our mayor, Roger Hoback!

Nathan Kelsay & his mom, Connie, check out the auction items to see what they want to bid on.
