VETERANS DAY SOUP DINNER:
The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) honored our veterans with a soup dinner, Sunday, November 14, 2004. They served approximately a dozen veterans from various branches of the military & wars served. This is a small way our village can say thank you to the veterans for their sacrifices. Many Americans lost family &/or friends as well as the veterans losing time with their spouses & children. Not everyone thinks about this and they really should especially now with so many fighting in Iraq. As a veteran myself, I know what our military members give to honor & protect this country & the freedoms we enjoy. So if you know someone that has served, take a moment & thank them & their families for their sacrifices.
