SANTA ARRIVES IN UNION:

Santa arrived in the village on a fire truck on Saturday, Dec 4th at 2:00 p.m. He rode around town to announce his arrival then came back to the fire station to visit with the almost 40 children to listen to their wish lists. He did not forget the 4-legged “children” either. Those pets that came (& the ones that were too shy) all received bandannas & treats as well. We even had a Chinchilla that tried to disguise himself as a reindeer by donning antlers! Everyone had a lot of fun & goodies. Thanks to all that came.

LETTERS TO SANTA:

There is a box for all letters to Santa at the post office until Dec 20th or they can be put in the slot at the village office. We will be sure Santa gets all the letters and your children will get their own letter from Santa. Make sure the names are clearly written & the address is on the letter.

ADDRESS CHANGES:

Cass County Dept of Zoning & Inspections has been working with Alltel on the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) for the 911 system. This will aid in a more efficient response to emergency calls. This only affects homes in Ash & Birch Courts. Therefore, those homes have new addresses. They will no longer be a number on Ash or Birch Court. They will now have a 3 number address on Ash or Birch Drive. The Post Office has already been notified of this change.

TIDBIT:

If you get a chance to drive around the village, many homes are really decorated for the season. Homeowners take a lot of pride in their properties & it really shows. Thanks to all the folks that decorate for our pleasure.

Santa arrives via fire truck driven by Robert Brown (volunteer fire fighter) to announce his arrival Dec 4th. Santa said he loved the ride.

Even our neighborhood groomer, Athena Willeford, couldn’t resist coming to visit Santa.
