SANTA CAME TO UNION:
As many as 35 children came to visit Santa when he arrived in Union on December 6th . Santa took the opportunity to ride around town on a fire truck blowing the siren just to be sure no one missed talking to him. All the children that came to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas received goody bags and were served cookies, hot chocolate & punch. His visit was sponsored by the Union Parks Department. Santa & Mrs Santa are still answering letters the children left for them and if any children missed this event, there is a box set up at the post office to leave your letters in.

THE GRINCH IS VISITING:
Apparently, Santa was not the only visitor Union has had. There must be a grinch coming into town and stealing Christmas decorations, and they have even cut down one of the Blue Spruce trees last week that the parks department raised money to plant. The value of this “Christmas tree” is approximately $400.00! The artificial decorated tree that was in the planter box in front of the bar was also stolen, decorations and all! If anyone has information about this crime, please contact the Cass County Sheriff’s department.

Do you see anything missing from this picture? There used to be a Blue Spruce in this lot and all that’s left is a stump.

Bradley Ziegelbein, Colby Hoback, Brady Hoback, Amanda Ziegelbein & Taylor Obermeyer came to visit Santa on Dec 6, 2003 at the fire station.

Ethan Seyler was busy telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.
