The clerk has been sending documents to the accountant as requested for the Audit Waiver for 2024/25. Olsson is assisting in the preparation of the 2027 Needs Survey, due Dec 31, 2025, for the water system. Continuing Education Units for the clerk/treasurer position are due to the NE Auditor by Dec. 31. Village Maintenance Report – Heyen and Contreras were working on water main leak repair. Fire/Rescue – NTR. Union United Inc. Report: Hansen asked if there was anything on the market suitable and insulated for Union’s food pantry that anybody knew of. Union United members agreed that if there is something out there to handle canned foods, etc. during the freezing months, that Hansen could purchase and set it up. New Business: Chairman Seyler appointed Melissa Hansen as Village Clerk/Treasurer setting her wages at $22.00 per hour for calendar year 2026. Chairman Seyler appointed Steve Heyen as Village Maintenance setting his wage at $21.30 and Michael Contreras as Assistant Maintenance with a wage of $ 19.00 per hour, until licensed, for calendar year 2026. Seyler appointed Ric Ortmeier as Village Accountant, Olsson as the Engineering Firm. Brian Freidrichsen, S-1704, class A engineer, on contract at Olsson for Street Superintendent, The Lincoln Journal Star as legal publisher. The Health Board members Molly Ziegelbein, Amy Seyler and Maddie Feek were appointed. Shawn Hoy was appointed for a one-year appointment to the Planning Commission, Dave Kendall and Donna Ruby, 1st year of a two-year appointment, Dale Hansen and Allan Feek 2nd year of a three-year appointment. Village Attorney position is still vacant. Ruby motioned to approve performance bonuses in the amount of $750.00 for Steve Heyen and Melissa Hansen. 2nd by Fritschle.
